Jammu: Security forces have achieved great success in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir. Three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists have been gunned down by security forces. One of them is a Pak terrorist. A search operation has been launched in the area at present. According to reports, intelligence had reported that the militants were hiding in Chandgam area of Pulwama district. Security forces immediately cordoned off the area. The militants started firing after seeing themselves surrounded by security forces.

Security forces have also killed 3 Jaish militants in a counter-attack. One of them is a Pak citizen. IGP Kashmir has said that objectionable material, arms and ammunition including 2 M-4 carbines and 1 AK series rifle have been seized so far. Earlier yesterday, security forces killed two terrorists in an encounter in South Kashmir's Kulgam district. Both the local terrorists are said to be members of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Their names are yet to be reported. Earlier, three terrorists including a Pakistani Jaish commander were killed at Mirhama in Kulgam on Wednesday.

According to police, security forces had come to know about the presence of terrorists in the areas on Tuesday. After which the security forces cordoned off ok area in the morning and launched a search operation. Meanwhile, militants hiding in a house started firing on security forces. Two terrorists killed in retaliation by security forces. An AK-47 and a pistol have been recovered from the bodies. According to IG Kashmir Vijay Kumar, the two slain terrorists were involved in several criminal offences. Police are ascertaining their detailed criminal history.
