Indians are stranded all over the world due to the lockdown. To help these people, the Government has also run Operation Setu and Vande Bharat Mission. Now it is reported that about 5, 200 Indian diaspora of Goa origin want to return to India. Giving this information on Monday, Goa Commissioner of NRI Affairs Narendra Sawikar said that he wants to return to his homeland due to the Corona crisis.

In his statement, Narendra Savikar said that the Kovid-18 crisis had started since then some people of Gov. origin living abroad were approached to return to the country. After this he contacted the embassies in those countries. He told that the NRI Commission of Goa has created a portal, where 5,200 stranded Goa natives have registered to return to India. This data has been shared with the central government and embassies to bring back the stranded Goa diaspora. He said that according to his estimate, the registered NRIs constitute around 25 per cent of the total Goa migrants and are returning due to insecurity.

For your information, let us tell you that Goa was the first state in the country, which was the most corona-free, but again in Goa, Corona has knocked. The Chief Minister of Goa believes that Corona's knock in the state has happened due to people from other states.
