New Delhi: Anna Hazare is a well-known name in India. Anna Hazare, a social activist and who served in the Indian Army, is celebrating his 84th birthday today. He was born on this day in 1937 at Ralegan Siddi in Maharashtra. Born in a poor Maratha family in Maharashtra, Anna may have been awarded the Padma Vibhushan by the Government of India, but this social worker never accepted every offer to enter power politics. Anna had raised her voice from passing the Lokpal Bill to against corruption that is hollowing out the country like a termite. It was because of this spirit that people started calling him another Gandhi, there was a slogan "Anna nahi yeh aandhi hai, Gandhi of the country in this era.''

On the other hand, when it came to Anna's childhood, he used to work outside Dadar railway station in Mumbai to save flowers as the economic condition of his house was not good. Anna then joined the Indian Army in 1963. At that time, the war between India and China was going on. In which the Indian Army suffered a setback. The government had then appealed to the people to join the army in large numbers. He retired voluntaryly after serving in the Indian Army for nearly 15 years.

The Anna movement, which made him the most famous, started on April 5, 2011 at Jantar Mantar, where Anna went on hunger strike. They wanted the corrupt to be wiped out. Corrupt leaders should be severely punished and jan lokpal is the only weapon for this. The nearly four-day hunger strike disrupted the power of Delhi's power, Manmohan Singh, and ended Anna's fast through Vilasrao Deshmukh. In view of his work, the entire country joined him with the slogan of 'Main Bhi Anna'. He also played a key role in getting the Lokpal Bill passed.
