Today is the birth anniversary of Lala Lajpat Rai, popularly known as 'Punjab Kesari'. Lala Lajpat Rai, one of the trio of India's leading freedom fighter Lal-Bal-Pal, was born into a Hindu family in Punjab's Moga district, he obtained a degree in advocacy, so in his early days he advocated for a few days in Hisar and Rohtak in Haryana, but Veer Lal, who dreamt of independence, did not feel in the court so he left advocacy and joined the Indian National Congress. gone.
Lala was one of the prominent leaders of the Garam Dal of the Congress party, whose Bal Gangadhar was well-versed with Tilak and Bipin Chandra Pal, so this trinity was named Lal-Bal-Pal. These three leaders first raised the voice of Purna Swarajya in India, which later became the conch shell of the entire country. He also worked a lot for the upliftment of the Arya Samaj along with Swami Dayanand Saraswati.
As part of his independence campaign, he participated in several movements, during which he joined a massive protest against the Simon Commission in Lahore on October 30, 1928, at which time Lala was badly injured in the lathi charge by the British. But even in the injured state, his spirit was not broken, at that time Lala had said, 'Every stick on my body will act as a nail in the coffin of the British government', and while struggling with injuries, Lala breathed his last on November 17, 1928. The flood that followed uprooted the British government in just twenty years.
