Dr APJ Abdul Kalam is one of the presidents of the country who received the greatest love from the people. Even when he was a scientist, people put him on his leader for his contribution to the service of the country. When he became president, the people of a simple man in the highest office were overwhelmed. Kalam Saheb passed away on July 27, 2015. He is remembered equally strongly today because of his qualities. Kalam Saheb did a lot of work on space research and missile technology.

At that time, the missiles were considered synonymous with the strength and self-defence of that country. But the world's most powerful countries were not sharing their missile with a country like India. After which the Government of India decided to launch its indigenous missile programme. Kalam Saheb was entrusted with the command of the Integrated Missile Development Programme. It was under Kalam Saheb's leadership that India made its mark in the world by making surface-to-surface medium-range Prithvi missiles, ground-to-air Trishul missiles, tank-piercing nag-like missiles. Kalam Saheb was then known as 'Missile Man.'

Tell you that Abdul Kalam was the Scientific Advisor to the Defence Minister from 1992 to 1999. As soon as he was a scientific adviser, Vajpayee's government underwent a nuclear test in Pokhran. Kalam Saheb's role in this was very important. It was because of his achievements that he had been awarded many civilian honours, including the Bharat Ratna, until 1997.
