New Delhi: Today i.e. August 18 is the death anniversary of the great freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. To liberate the country, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose gave the slogan 'Tum Mujhe Khoon Do, Me Tumhe Azadi Dunga'. Netaji also had a deep connection with Kashi and he had come on a secret visit to Varanasi many times. It is claimed that he also spent a few days of his last time in Kashi. His death anniversary is celebrated on August 18. Virbhadra Mitra, great-grandson of Netaji's aunt, has informed that he had many plans in mind for Kashi. His maternal uncle and aunts lived in Bengali Dyodhi.
Bose came to Bengali Dyodhi twice and lived here in a very secret manner. His sister was married into the Rai family of Gorakhpur and his brother-in-law was a doctor. Many memories related to Netaji are still stored in the Bharat Kala Bhavan of Banaras Hindu University (BHU). The money of Azad Hind Fauj, a letter written by Netaji to Malviya Ji has been stored. It is mentioned in a letter that Netaji had told Mahatma Gandhi that you do not listen to partition, otherwise in the coming time, the demand for Sikhistan, and Garhwalistan will start to arise on this basis. But, Bose's words were not accepted and today the demand for separate countries like Khalistan, and Dravid Nadu has started to arise in the country and separatism has started raising its head.
Let me tell you that, much before independence, Subhash Chandra Bose had liberated the Indian land Andaman and Nicobar Islands through the Azad Hind Fauj and Netaji hoisted the tricolour for the first time on December 30, 1943. If the big leaders of that time had strongly supported Netaji, perhaps we would have got independence before 1947, that too without the conditions of the British and without dividing the country.
