Mumbai: Today is the birthday of Prithviraj Kapoor, the 'Mughal-E-Azam' of the Indian film industry. He has given a new place to Hindi cinema in the world. He has won everyone's heart with his excellent performance. Prithviraj Kapoor started his career with silent films and travelled to colourful films. Prithviraj Kapoor's birth took place on November 3, 1906, in the Sea of Pakistan.

People call him the 'Grand Father of Bollywood.' Prithviraj Kapoor graduated from Edward College in Lahore. He then thought of working in drama and theatre. But he did not get work in the play because of his more studies. He then came to Mumbai in 1929 and worked as an extra artist at the Imperial Film Company without pay. He didn't have to stop here and have to touch the heights of success.

Prithviraj played the role of youth to old age at the age of 24 in his first-speech film 'Alam Ara.' Alexander played the role in 'Alexander' in 1941. In 1960, he became an example with his acting by playing the role of 'Mughal E Azam.' The actor had acted in 9 silent films before Alam Ara. His first film was 'Cinema Girl' as a lead actor which was released in 1929. He received Rs. 70 for this film.
