Senior Congress leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit is known to all. She was the Chief Minister of Delhi for 15 years. Most people know about her political career, but hardly anyone is familiar with Sheila Dikshit's love life. Today we're going to tell you the same story. Sheila Dikshit met Vinod Dixit while studying at the famous Miranda House in Delhi.

Vinod Dixit was the only son of the then Congress veteran Umashankar Dixit. In an interview, Sheila had explained that 'Vinod and I were students of MA History, both were in the same class. Vinod didn't like me much. I thought they understood themselves a lot, very aggressive.' Sheila Dikshit had once said that two of her friends had a dispute over girlfriends and boyfriends. The girl approached Sheila and the boy approached Vinod over the dispute. Both of them had the responsibility to end the fight between girlfriends and boyfriends. It was during this time that the conversation between Vinod and Sheila began. Interestingly, this conversation never happened after it started.

Sheila Dikshit had said in her interview that after that she started talking fiercely in class as well. If you don't feel like it, you will write to each other and talk to each other. Vinod often boarded a bus with Sheila and went to Ferozshah Road so that he could spend as much time with him as possible.  One day, walking together on bus number 10 on the same route, Vinod proposed to Sheila for marriage. According to Sheila Dikshit, Vinod had proposed marriage to her in front of Chandni Chowk in bus number 10. Sheila explained, 'Vinod told me, I'm going to tell my mother that I've got a girl. So I asked which girl you've found. He said she's sitting with me. I was absolutely surprised.' When Sheila reached home, she shared it with her sister and laughed happily. However, Sheila did not tell her parents.

At that time, Sheela was afraid that her parents would ask what the boy did, so how would she tell her that the boy was unemployed. Even after all this, Sheila and Vinod Dixit got married. Vinod's family protested a lot at the wedding, as Sheila was not a Brahmin. However, Vinod Dixit later passed the UPSC exam. He was ranked 9th in the entire country, he had chosen the Uttar Pradesh cadre.
