'Very Very Special' Laxman has scored 17 centuries in Tests, has a brilliant career

New Delhi: VVS Laxman is the legendary batsman of Team India. Born on this day in 1974, Venkata Sai Laxman is also commonly known as VVS. Indian cricketer Laxman represents the Hyderabad cricket team. He has played at Hyderabad Domestic Cricket Athwa Lancashire County Cricket Club. Laxman is the nephew of former President of India, the great Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

He has been the captain of Deccan Chargers Hyderabad team in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Laxman has been awarded the Padma Shri award and the fourth highest civilian honor of India. Laxman is a right-handed batsman and sometimes bowls off-spin.  Laxman has the ability to use his magic wrist to push the dirt across the boundary line.

Laxman is known for his batting against the Australian cricket team. In his international career, Laxman has scored a total of 23 centuries, out of which he has scored 17 centuries in Tests and 6 centuries in ODIs. With this, Laxman has also taken 2 wickets in Tests.
