Under the educational system so far, if you have studied arts or commerce in 12th, then you cannot enroll in science in undergraduate courses. But you can also get this opportunity in the coming time. A proposal for this has been prepared and sent to the government for approval. If this proposal is approved, then students studying in 12th with Arts and Commerce in addition to Science can also get an opportunity to enroll in BSc Nursing course. For this, the Indian Nursing Council has prepared a proposal. The council has also asked people to send feedback and suggestions on this proposal. Feedback and suggestions can be sent via email by 24 January 2020.

If it is so far, only students studying 12th with Biology subject are eligible to be admitted in this course. How is BSC Nursing course-BSC Nursing is a four-year degree program. It is divided into a total of eight semesters. In this, students are prepared to become registered nurses. After this course, students become eligible to serve nurses in private or government hospitals or health centers.

For information, let us tell you that the council had decided to implement the single level admission process for nursing bsc nursing last year itself. For this it was also decided to abolish the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) program. GNM is a diploma course while BSc Nursing is a four-year degree course. The council says that this is being done with the aim of improving the quality of nursing education. According to the decision of the council, admissions to GNM courses will be discontinued from the year 2021. However, there are around 3215 GNM institutes running across the country, out of which around 1.2 lakh students complete their studies every year.
