Ex-FM's mortal remains consigned to flames as son Rohan performs last rites

New Delhi: Former Finance Minister and veteran BJP leader Arun Jaitley was cremated at Nigambodh Ghat in Delhi today. Before his last rites, his mortal remains were laid at the BJP headquarters.  Arun Jaitley passed away on Saturday at 12:07 p.m. at AIIMS in Delhi.

The last rites of BJP veteran leader and former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley were held at Nigambodh Ghat in Delhi on Sunday. Arun Jaitley was given a face-lift by his son, Rohan. Several top leaders including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh were present during the meeting. The eyes of all those present at the funeral of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley were teary.

BJP leader and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also paid homage to Arun Jaitley. He said, Arun Jaitley's departure has caused great damage to the country and the party. We consulted them if we had any problems. He always guided the party. On the other hand, BJP's oldest leader L.K.Advani paid homage to Jaitley and said his demise has caused a lot of damage not only to the party but also to the country.
