Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh has reported 319 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, while Pudechari has sustained 81 new cases and Andaman and the Nicobar Islands 1 new case. The total number of infected people increased to 49,203 after 319 new cases of infection were reported in Arunachal Pradesh. State Monitoring Officer (SSO) Dr. L. Jampa said that the death toll has risen to 236 after the death of two more patients.

The highest number of 99 new cases of infection in the state have been reported from the Capital Complex region.  He explained that 3,337 patients are now undergoing treatment in the state. The total number of people who recovered after 332 more patients were free from infection increased to 45,630. State Immunization Officer (SSO) Dr. Dimong Padung said that so far 8,68,147 people have been given corona vaccine doses. In a release, G Sriramulu, Director, Health and Family Welfare Service, Puducherry, said that the total number of infected persons increased to 1,21,333 after 81 new cases were reported in the Union Territory.

The director of the health department said that 62 cases have been reported in Puducherry, 12 in Mahe, 6 in Karaikal, and one from Yanam.  No patient has lost his life due to infection in the last 24 hours and the death toll is 1,798.  There are 888 patients undergoing treatment. So far 7.22 lakh people have been given vaccine supplements in the Union Territory.
