Arunachal Pradesh: CM Pema Khandu said this regarding increasing corona cases

As the cases of corona continue to increase steadily in Arunachal, the state authorities are now being concerned about the same. Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has requested the Health Department to make the best use of all available manpower and ensure optimal utilization of funds in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Assembling a meeting with the officials of the Health Department to consider policies to restrain the extent of the disease in the State, the Chief Minister said that the health of the people is the top priority and all manpower and resources would be enlisted accordingly.

Ensuring the Department of all support, Khandu requested the officials to constantly check for any violations especially in the time of crisis so that there is no compromise on health service delivery, an official communiqué informed reporters therein. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and Health Minister Alo Libang. Also present in the meeting were officials from the Finance department and the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), the communiqué added.

Talk about the corona cases, a total of 279 more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh till now, pushing the State's tally to 11,760. As of date, there are 2,860 active COVID-19 cases. Altogether 198 people have been healed of the disease on Friday, taking the total number of improvements to 8,877. The recovery rate stands at 75.48 percent, said State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr. Lobsang Jampa on Saturday.
