226 new cases reported in last 24 hours in Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar: 226 new cases of corona virus have been reported in Arunachal Pradesh and three people have died. The number of infected people in the state has increased to 24,093 after new cases came to light, with 21,096 recovering. State Monitoring Officer (SSO) Dr. L. Zampa informed that the number of people who lost their lives in the state increased to 98 after one person each died due to infection in the Capital Complex area, Tawang and West Siang districts. The three people died during treatment at the Covid Center.

He said that out of the new 226 cases, 58 cases have been registered in Changlang district, 41 in capital complex area, 27 in Lower Dibang Valley, 20 in West Kameng, 18 in Tawang, 17 in Lower Subansiri, 11 in Anjo, 7 in Namsai, 6 in East Siang, 5-5 in Kurung Kume, Upper Subansiri, four in Lohit, four in Papumpere, Leparada, Lower Siang and Shi-Yomi districts.

Dr. Jampa said that out of the new cases, 215 cases were reported in the 'Rapid Antigen' test, 7 RT-PCR and 4 'Truenate' investigations. In the last 24 hours, 260 more people have recovered from infection. The official said the recovery rate of patients in the state is 87.56 per cent and the positivity rate (percentage of those found infected in total testing) is 7.5 per cent. There are currently 2,899 active cases in the state.
