Itanagar: After 183 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Arunachal Pradesh, the infection cases in the state have risen to 7,005 on Saturday. A senior health department official said, 28 security personnel were among the 183 patients infected with the corona.

"The new patients include 16 Soldiers of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), eight Indian Army Personnel and four Assam Rifles personnel," state monitoring officer Dr L. Jampa said. The official informed that 171 more people have been discharged from the hospital on Friday after recovering.

Jampa reported that corona patients in the state have a recovery rate of 72.89 per cent. Jampa said that while 1,886 coronavirus patients are currently undergoing treatment in Arunachal Pradesh, 5,106 people have been infected so far and 13 people have died due to the virus. 18,285 samples have been tested in the state so far.
