Itanagar: People in Arunachal Pradesh will now be delivered medicines through drones as well. A healthcare service called 'Drone from Sky' has been started here. On Monday (August 15), the first flight of the drone service from Seppa to Chiang Tajo in the East Kameng district took off. CM Prema Khandu has expressed happiness over this by tweeting.

CM Khandu said that drone service has been started under the vision of PM Narendra Modi to make India the drone hub of the world. The state government has launched a pilot project on the use of drones in health, agriculture and disaster management in collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF). CM Khandu further said "Based on the regional assessment report, a pilot project 'Medicine from the Sky' has been launched from Seppa in East Kameng district on the occasion of Independence Day. Happy to launch this project virtually as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. The project has been funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and is being implemented by Bengaluru-based startup Redwing Labs.''

CM Khandu hoisted the tricolour at the Dera Natung Government College on Independence Day. During this, he said, 'We are taking steps with speed and strength to achieve PM Modi's goal of self-reliant India. The state is writing a new chapter of progress by improving infrastructure, health, education system and governance for the welfare of children, women and farmers. Digital libraries will be started in three government colleges.''
