Amaravati: The High Court Chief Justice Arup Kumar Goswami has said that the judiciary has been facing criticism in recent times in providing effective justice. Justice Goswami was the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations held in the AP High Court on Tuesday. The police first took the honorand unveiled the national flag. He later said that it is possible to overcome such criticisms only when it is dedicated, and the lawyers have called for the answer to the criticisms of the people.

We want to work more efficiently, transparently and without compromising on duty. He said that the main challenges to the judiciary are lack of infrastructure, lack of staff and the huge increase in the number of pending cases. The burden of the judiciary in the world is on the judiciary of our country. Ap High Court has been following good traditions and the trial of cases through video conferences is a great experience for him. Ag S Sriram, Bar Council Chairman Gantha Rama Rao and Jumvi Prasad, Secretary of high court lawyers' association, addressed the function.

The state Lokayukta Justice P. Lakshmana Reddy hoisted the flag and took the police honor. Chief Secretary to government L Premachandra Reddy, Registrar Vijayalakshmi, Lokayukta Director (Investigation) K. Narasimha Reddy, Director (Legal) T Venkateswar Reddy participated in the event.
