New Delhi: After successfully operating the electricity and water welfare scheme, now the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of Delhi is going to make travel free for women in metro and government buses.

In the coming days, women will not have to buy tickets for traveling in metro and buses in Delhi. If there is no technical bottleneck, the plan will be implemented in six months. The Delhi Government has asked for it to get the proposal soon from the Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

There is no problem in implementing the DTC and cluster scheme in the buses, but in the metro it is difficult to implement it in terms of security. Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot called Metro officials on Friday to discuss the plan.
