NEW DELHI: An emergency response vehicle and an auto collision took place in Mukherjee Nagar area of the capital on Sunday night. The auto driver and the policemen were on the lookout for it. The auto driver attacked the ASI with a sword. The policemen then thrashed the auto driver and son with poles on the road. The video of the incident also went viral. The policemen have been admitted to the hospital.

The Delhi Police has suspended three accused policemen for taking action in the case. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today met the victim's auto driver. He said, "The brutality committed by the Delhi Police in Mukherjee Nagar is highly condemnable and unjust. I demand an impartial inquiry into the matter and stringent action should be taken against the accused. Those protecting civilians cannot be allowed to turn into violent mobs.
