New Delhi: Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) president Arvind Kejriwal could not file their nomination papers on Saturday (January 20). AAP president Arvind Kejriwal was to reach the SDM office by 3 pm to file his nomination. Kejri Lal, who was going for nomination while doing road show, could not reach the time. Now tomorrow (Tuesday), Kejriwal will file his nomination. Arvind Kejriwal is AAP's candidate from New Delhi Assembly seat.

Arvind Kejriwal had announced the filing of nominations along with the road show on Sunday itself. He also urged activists and supporters to join the roadshow. On Monday, Kejriwal, along with top party leaders and his family, first offered prayers at the Valmiki temple, then took out a road show. By passing the Connaught Place Outer Circle off the Valmiki Mandir Marg, the SDM office was closed by the time Kejriwal arrived to file his nomination.

Arvind Kejriwal will now file nomination on 21 January. January 21 is the last date for filing nominations. Arvind Kejriwal is MLA from New Delhi Assembly seat for the last two times. He defeated the then Chief Minister, Congress candidate Sheila Dixit, in this seat in 2013. In the 2015 elections Kejriwal defeated Congress veteran Kiran Walia by a large margin.
