New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday reacted sharply to allegations of irregularities in the payment of subsidies to power distribution companies in the national capital. CM Kejriwal accused the BJP of trying to stop the free electricity scheme in Delhi and said that he will not allow it to happen. He has also linked it to the Gujarat elections. Along with this, Kejriwal has also targeted the central government.
Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, "Gujarat is very fond of AAP's free electricity guarantee. Therefore, the BJP wants to stop free electricity in Delhi. The people of Delhi have faith. I will not allow your free electricity to stop under any circumstances, I assure you that if the government is formed, your electricity will also be free from March 1.''
In another tweet, he attacked the central government over inflation. Kejriwal has said that the central government is sucking the blood of the people by increasing the tax and he is giving relief in the form of free electricity. Kejriwal wrote in his tweet, 'You have imposed so much tax on everything. So much inflation. You're sucking people's blood. In such a situation, if I give some relief to my people by making their electricity-free, then you will not tolerate that too? Do you want to stop that too? I will not allow this to happen under any circumstances.'
