New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that vaccination will be carried out at 81 locations in Delhi on January 16. In each of these places, 100 people will be vaccinated in a day. Vaccination will be done on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday four days a week. Kejriwal told media that so far we have received 2, 74000 doses of vaccine from the centre.
Kejriwal said that every person will be given two doses and the centre will provide 10% additional vaccine. The 274,000 doses will be sufficient for 1, 20000 health workers. 2, 40000 health workers have registered in Delhi. He also said that we will start from 81 centres, then increase it to 175 in a few days and then vaccination work will be done at 1000 centres across Delhi. Earlier on Wednesday, Kejriwal had announced that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government would provide free Covid-19 vaccine to the people of Delhi if the central government fails to do so.
Kejriwal had said that he has already urged the centre to ensure free vaccination in the country, as there are many people who cannot buy life-saving shots. He said, "I urge everyone not to spread wrong information about corona vaccine. I had requested the Central Government that corona vaccination should be provided to all for free. If the centre does not do it and the vaccine is required, the Delhi government would provide it free to the people of Delhi. ''
