New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday welcomed the decision of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to cancel the Class 10 examination and postpone the Class 12 examination in view of the rise in Corona's case. Parents will get great relief. Let us know that CBSE examinations were to be held from May 4.
Kejriwal tweeted that "I am happy that the examinations were canceled/postponed". This is a great relief for millions of students and their parents. At the same time, Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia said, "I am happy that the exams of class 10 have been canceled and the exams of class 12 have been postponed. However, the anxiety that remained in the minds of the children of 12th standard could also be overcome. I urge that the students of class 12th should also be promoted on the basis of internal assessment".
The decision was taken in a meeting held on Wednesday under the leadership of PM Modi and in the presence of Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Education Secretary, and other top officials. Issuing a statement after the meeting, information about the decisions taken regarding the examinations was shared.
