New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to hold talks with farmer leaders in the Delhi Assembly on Sunday. The meeting will discuss the flaws in the agricultural laws and other issues related to the farmers. Kejriwal has invited all the big farmer leaders for lunch in Delhi Assembly tomorrow for talks. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders will also be present along with cabinet ministers during this period. Kejriwal has been supporting the farmers since the time of the peasant movement.

AAP has supported the peasant movement since the beginning. It has several times appealed to the Central Government to persuade the farmers to withdraw these agricultural laws. It is worth mentioning that tensions still persist with the Center for three new agricultural laws. The farmers, who are adamant on withdrawing the laws, have announced a cross-border battle with the government on the issue. The farmers' movement on the borders of Delhi continues today on the 87th day. Meanwhile, all efforts made by the central government to persuade the farmers have failed.

While the Central Government is presenting these laws as a big improvement in the agriculture sector, the farmers who are demonstrating have expressed the fear that the new laws will end the minimum support price (MSP) and mandi system and they will depend on big corporate.
