New Delhi: In a gesture of gratitude and spiritual reflection, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced his plans to visit the Hanuman Temple at Connaught Place on Saturday. This follows his release from Tihar Jail a day prior.

In a heartfelt post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Kejriwal shared his intentions: “Today at 12 noon I will go to Hanuman Temple at Connaught Place to thank God and seek his blessings.” The visit marks a significant moment for the Chief Minister, who was granted bail by the Supreme Court on Friday in connection with the excise policy-linked corruption case.

The release of Kejriwal, who has been a prominent figure in Indian politics, was a major development in the ongoing legal proceedings. His decision to seek solace and blessings at a revered temple reflects his personal faith and the importance of spiritual practices in his life.

Kejriwal’s visit to the Hanuman Temple is expected to attract significant public attention, symbolizing a moment of both personal and political significance.

High Court Ruling: On August 5, the Delhi High Court upheld the legality of Kejriwal’s arrest, dismissing his plea against it. The court noted that the CBI had collected sufficient evidence and obtained necessary sanctions before advancing the probe. It emphasized that Kejriwal, a prominent figure and Magsaysay Award recipient, could potentially influence witnesses. The court observed that the witnesses were only willing to testify after Kejriwal’s arrest, highlighting his influence.
