Counting of votes has begun in a total of 2364 centers for assembly elections held in four states and one Union Territory. This time, the highest number of centers have been set up in West Bengal at 1113, Kerala at 633, Assam at 331, Tamil Nadu at 256, and Puducherry at 31. With this, BJP is leading in Assam and DMK-Congress is leading in Tamil Nadu.
That is what the NDA is ahead of Puducherry. Amidst all this, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has issued a statement. In his statement, he said, "According to trends, it is clear that BJP will form the government in the state.'' In fact, according to the Election Commission, out of 126 assembly seats in the state, 117 have been trending. BJP is leading in 56 seats.
With this, Congress is leading in 29 seats. BJP Ally Asom Gana Parishad is currently leading in 10 seats and independents are leading in all India United Democratic Front 11, Bodoland People's Front three, United People's Party seven, and one seat.
