Lucknow: A case of suicide of a minor girl by consuming poison has come to light in Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur. It is alleged that the youth living in the neighbourhood was raping her. Seeing the victim's brother, the accused fled from the spot. The victim then consumed poison. When his condition worsened, the family members admitted him for treatment in a fit of rage. The doctors referred her to Kanpur, but on the way, the girl succumbed to her injuries.    

According to information, the family members of the teenager, a resident of a village under Jehanabad police station area of the district, had gone to attend the family wedding ceremony late at night. Meanwhile, the teenager was alone at home, in the meantime, the neighbouring youth, who was sitting in the ambush, saw her alone and entered the house and raped her. During this time, the brother of the minor also reached home and on seeing him, the accused fled. On getting information about the incident, police rushed to the spot and took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem.   According to the police, the case is of a love affair, it is being investigated.  

The victim's mother has told the police that when her son came home at 3 pm, she saw that a youth from the neighbourhood was raping her daughter, so the son caught hold of her. But he pushed her away. In such a long time my daughter went to a room and locked herself from inside and ate the medicine that killed the rat. We somehow opened the door of the room and saw that the daughter was writhing on the ground. There was a bottle of rat killing medicine lying nearby. After which he was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. The doctors referred him to Kanpur as his condition was critical, but he died on the way.   

Bindki CO Pashuram Tripathi has said that the 14-year-old minor used to talk to a youth from the village in Thana Jahanabad. There is talk of a love affair between the two. With this, he consumed poisonous substance. Whose body has been sent for post-mortem and further action will be taken on the basis of the post-mortem report.
