Lucknow: AIMIM Chief and Hyderabad Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday clarified on a video clip that is going viral on social media, saying that the purpose of this controversy is to divert attention from the 'hate speech gathering'. Asaduddin Owaisi said, 'A video of one minute of my 45-minute speech in Kanpur is being broadcast. In the speech, I was talking about police atrocities in Kanpur. Don't take our silence as our consent.'
In fact, several BJP leaders on Friday shared this video of Owaisi on social media amid hate speech speeches allegedly given by Hindu leaders at the recently held three-day religious convention in Haridwar. An FIR has been registered in Uttarakhand after videos of provocative speeches in Haridwar went viral. As the controversy escalated, Owaisi has presented a clarification on the whole matter in his video post.
In the video going viral, Owaisi is saying, 'I want to tell the policemen that they should remember that neither Yogi will always be CM nor Modi will always be PM. We Muslims are silent seeing the time, but keep in mind that we are not going to forget anything. We will remember your injustice. Allah will destroy you with his power. Inshallah, we will remember and times will also change. Then who will come to save you when Yogi will go to his Math and Modi to Himalaya? Remember, we are not going to forget. This controversial statement of Asaduddin Owaisi is being told in a meeting in Kanpur on 12th December. No FIR has been registered on this statement so far.
