Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has said that right to life is fundamental over violence between Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporters after the election results came out in West Bengal. It should be the duty of the government to protect the lives of the people. We condemn the failure of the government.

According to the information received, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has said that "Right to life is a fundamental right. It should be the first duty of any government to protect the lives of the people. If they don't, they're failing in their fundamental duty. We condemn the failure of any government to protect lives in any part of India".

A day after the announcement of the election results in West Bengal, there have been reports of Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers allegedly assaulting, robbing and killing BJP supporters from various districts. Four people have reportedly lost their lives in clashes between supporters of both parties in Purba Burdwan district. The BJP is talking about killing 9 of its workers.
