He said “Mr. Modi, the one who killed Mahatma Gandhi, what was he? Was Nathuram Godse Owaisi's brother? Who was he? Wasn't he a terrorist? Tell us Modi, who was Godse? Would you say? No, you won't. You won't say because you know you are trapped now. You are only weakening India by talking about Hindus and Muslims Mr Modi,”. Calling Modi for a debate, Owaisi said that the whole country is watching the PM and the language he used despite being the PM of the country. Addressing a rally in Wardha, PM Modi had accused the Congress of coining the term "Hindu Terror" for vote bank politics and hurting the sentiments of crores of Hindus.

Referring to the Malegaon 2006 and 2008 terror blasts in which some right-wing Hindu groups were under the scanner of state investigators and central agencies the PM blasted the Congress-NCP alliance of insulting the sentiments of Hindus, Army jawans and demanding proof of IAF airstrikes in Pakistan’s Balakot.
