Hyderabad: AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi has strongly targeted the statement made by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on secularism. Owaisi has countered Yogi's statement by calling it an "absurdity". Owaisi said that Yogi's statement is scorned the Constitution and the framers.

Owaisi asked CM Yogi that 'the prices of petrol, diesel, and LPG are increasing. People are not getting jobs. Women are upset. Is this all because of secularism?' He asked whether the guarantee of free thought in the Preamble of the Constitution does not reflect secularism. Owaisi added that "I ask whether Articles 14, 19, 22, 25, 26, 29, and 30 do not reflect secular views and values?"

Owaisi further said, "You are doing Bhoomi Pujan in the name of secularism. You are doing Bhoomi Pujan, being CM or PM. That is Secularism? Does the government have any religion? India has no religion and no It will happen. India respects all religions. India also respects those who do not believe in any religion. We say that most of the people here are secular, that's why India is secular." During a program on Saturday, Yogi said that secularism is a big danger in bringing India's culture and traditions to the global stage. He said that we had to overcome it and try with a sattvic mind.
