Ayodhya: Assembly elections are proposed in Uttar Pradesh next year. The state is ruled by the saffron-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Yogi Adityanath. CM Yogi claims that the BJP government will be formed again under his leadership. Meanwhile, AIMIM Chief and Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi has now played the Hindutva card. But only time will tell how effective it will be.

In fact, Owaisi has decided to start a three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh from Ram's city Ayodhya on September 7. All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) State Unit President Shaukat Ali has said that Owaisi will visit the dargah of 18th-century Sufi saint Sheikh Alam Makhdoom Jada at Rudauli in Ayodhya district and hold a public meeting near dargah on September 7. He said, "On 8th and 9th September, he will address public meetings at Sultanpur and Barabanki respectively.''

Athar Hussain, Secretary, Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation has said, "Rudauli is a constituency from where Muslim candidates can easily win, but in the last two elections, voters were divided as BSP fielded a Muslim candidate against the incumbent SP MLA Rushdie Mian.'' he added, "Owaisi may now try to do the same in the coming elections."
