Singapore: Next year, India will constantly implement the scheme to make business and political relations stronger from its neighboring countries and strengthen foreign policy. In this order, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will be representing India in Singapore at the India ASEAN Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Conference. In the two-day India ASEAN Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Conference that to be held in Singapore next month, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will accompany her deputy prime minister Teo Chie Han.

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) is celebrated every year to mark the contribution of the overseas Indian community in the development of India. This year ASEAN Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will mark the 25 years of ASEAN-Indian Partnership and will be themed "Ancient Route, New Journey: Diaspora in the Dynamic ASEAN India Partnership".

Indian High Commissioner Javed Ashraf said here today that including with the Foreign Minister, Union Surface Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Andhra Pradesh and Assam Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Sarbananda Sonowal will participate. Pravasi Bharatiya Divas are celebrated every year to honor the contribution of foreigners who have left the national boundaries.

Ashraf said Sushma and Gadkari will attend the conference on January 6 while Sonowal and Naidu will be present on January 7. Singapore's Trade and Industry Minister S. Ishwaran and Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan will also address the function.  First time There is a possibility of 2500 delegates will be present for this conference.
