Amravati: Vijaya Lakshmi, a 44-year-old Asha worker who was vaccinated for corona vaccine on January 19 in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur district, died on Sunday. The family has alleged that her death was due to vaccine. In this case, Asha workers performed in front of the government hospital and demanded compensation of Rs. 50 lakh for the family of the dead.

A leader of the Centre of Indian Trade Union was also heard from the district collector. The protestors were forcibly removed from the spot by the police. Health officials say the cause of death will be known only after the post mortem report comes. But it does not seem that death has been caused by vaccine, because more than 10,000 people have been vaccinated in the district so far and no adverse effect has been reported.

The death of an Anganwadi teacher of 45 years has also been reported from Warangal district of Telangana. She was also vaccinated on 19th January. On Saturday night, when she had chest pains, she fell asleep with some medications and was found dead Sunday morning. Her body has been taken to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital for post mortem and samples have also been taken for investigation.
