NEW DELHI: England, who were the worst in the Ashes in 71 years in the first innings, finally won the match by beating Australia. England won the game in a way. England made history by winning the match with an unbeaten century from Ben Stockes. Ben scored an unbeaten 135 runs. Chasing a target of 359 runs, England were all out for 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Ben Stockes was the hero of England's victory, which single-handedly pulled the team out of the grip of defeat and then gave it a victory.
He pitched 11 fours and 8 sixes in his innings and snatched the victory from the Kangaroos. In the end, he was battling the Cramps but did not give up. When England had only one wicket left, the all-rounder took a stormy look and showered four-six. Last batsman Jack Leech supported him brilliantly and stood on the wicket. For the last wicket, Stx and Leech added 76 runs, with Leech contributing only one.
