Jaipur: Like Punjab, the ongoing infighting in the Congress in Rajasthan is not going to end. Now CM Ashok Gehlot has cancelled the plan to attend Sachin Pilot's event in due time. Along with Gehlot, Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra will also not attend the event. The event is scheduled to be held at Chaksu in Jaipur.

The Pilot group had organized a programme and rally to unveil the statue of constitution maker Bhimrao Ambedkar in which the two leaders were scheduled to attend, but Gehlot suddenly cancelled the event. The Dalit Sabha was organised by Sachin Pilot in view of the BJP's aggressive stand against atrocities on Dalits in Rajasthan. But CM Ashok Gehlot has cancelled his programme in view of the killing of a woman late at night in Bassi, 20 km away, and BJP leaders staging a protest with villagers there. It is also being said that Gehlot has cancelled the event in view of a large number of Pilot supporters at the event.

In Punjab, Navjot Singh Sidhu had recently resigned as congress state president, but now he has withdrawn his resignation in a reversal. The clash between CM Charanjit Singh Channi and him was believed to have been resolved. Rajasthan CM Gehlot then arrived in Delhi last week. It was believed that the Rajasthan Congress dispute would be resolved now, but it doesn't seem to be happening yet.
