Gehlot government allots Rs 250 crore to benefit around 2 lakh farmers

Rajasthan: After the end of the political crisis in the state for almost a month, now the government is back on track. Ministers have started taking care of their respective departments. The administrative machinery, which has been sluggish for almost a month, seems fit. Administrative work is slowly beginning to take place.

The Gehlot Government has started the development works. The government has first intensified the focus on farmer-agriculture, disaster management and protection from locusts. CM has reopened the treasure trove for farmers and development works. At the same, Chief Secretary Rajiv Swaroop has alerted all the district collectors to deal with the possible situation of flood on the instructions of the Chief Minister. CM Ashok Gehlot has constituted a state-level monitoring committee under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Rajiv Swaroop. So that farmers can get the benefit of agricultural infrastructure. The government has set a target of allocating Rs 9000 crore for this. Every day through Chief Secretary VC, communicating with all district officials and taking feedback.

The state government has transferred Rs 739.32 crore to the accounts of farmers affected.

1. The government has also approved an amount of Rs 250 crore from the Farmers Welfare Fund. About 2.50 lakh farmers will benefit from this.

2. With this step of the government, 2.50 lakh farmers are expected to get the insurance claim of 750 crores soon.

3. Government is exploring possibilities of constructing small dams in the catchment area on the lines of Andhra Pradesh.

4. Soon there will be allotment of plots for farmers in mandi premises. Also, the allocation will be made for public facilities.

5. Medical stores of cooperative stores will be online. Its orders have been given.
