Journalist Ashutosh, ex-journalist left politics and is expected to return to journalism once again. He has resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party. According to sources, he has submitted his resignation to Aam Aadmi Party convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal a few months ago, but Kejriwal has not yet approved it. Ashutosh will soon announce to leave the party publicly. He has given a personal reason behind this. In 2014, Ashutosh came in politics leaving journalism.

He was one of the founding members of AAP. At that time people like Captain Gopinath, Meera Sanyal, Kiran Bedi, Prashant Bhushan, Shazia Ilmi, Kumar Biswas were also associated with AAP, But all of them have also left the party. Ashutosh had also contested from Chandni Chowk in Delhi during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. But despite having more than three lakh votes in this election, the former Delhi chief minister had lost the elections to Harsh Vardhan.

According to Ashutosh's closest leader, Ashutosh did not see the fulfillment of the purpose that he had come to the party. He tells that the party was formed to eradicate corruption, but now he feels disoriented here. He can leave politics again and return to journalism once again.

It should be noted that during the Rajya Sabha elections last year, Arvind Kejriwal gave industrialist Sushil Gupta a Rajya Sabha ticket. Ashutosh and Sanjay Singh were also discussed in the Rajya Sabha but Ashutosh refused to go to Rajya Sabha with Sushil Gupta. Ashutosh was opposed to sending Sushil Gupta to Rajya Sabha. But despite his opposition, Sushil Gupta was sent to the Rajya Sabha. Since then, his activism began to decline in politics. Now he has decided to leave the party. Before leaving the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Ashutosh is leaving the party, Aam Aadmi Party will get a big setback.
