Continuing his winning streak, Pankaj Advani secured passage into the knockout stage of the Asian 6-Reds Snooker Championship by beating Khaled Alastal 5-0 in his third group match in Abu Dhabi on Friday.

India’s youngest national snooker champion said “You just have to make sure you finish the frame and for that your game has to be very solid. It can get a bit tactical at times but at the same time, you know you have to finish the game off with one hit. You can’t afford to make many mistakes in this format.”

Scores: Manan Chandra lost to Abdul Rehman al Shamshi (UAE) 4-5; Aditya Mehta beat Ahmed Asseri (Saudi Arabia) 5-2; Kamal Chawla bt Yutapop Pakpoj 5-3; Manan Chandra bt Saleh Mohammed (Afghanistan) 5-3; Pankaj Advani beat Khaled Alastal (Palestine) 5-0.
