Asian games 2018 :

India’s Amit Pinghal beat Uzbekistan’s Hasanboy Dusmatov Men’s light fly 49kg final to win GOLD.The men’s light flyweight final between Indian boxer Amit and Uzbekistani H Dusmatov is ended in favor of Amit  with 3:2 .

Uzbekistani proletarian light flyweight boxer  won gold medal in 2015 Asian Championships .The judges reach a split decision and it’s 3:2 in favour of Amit.

Amit was quite sharp in the second round and looked to have taken the edge over Dusmatov . Dusmatov hadn’t quite been able to land any big blow while Amit had been able to get a couple at least on the Uzbek boxer’s face.

Amit went on the defensive in the third round, knowing he was in the lead to draw the Uzbek to attack him. Dusmatov, not one to go down lightly, took the attack to the Indian boxer Amit and there were moments in the third round when it seemed like the Olympic champion will turn it around in his favor. Amit looked pretty confident as the bout ended.

Rajyavardhan Rathore Minister of State (I/C) Youth Affairs & Sports and MoS (I/C) Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India, took twitter to congratulated Amit as saying-

"GOLD NUMBER 14! BRILLIANT boxing by #TOPSAthlete Amit Panghal to secure a GOLD in Men's 49 kg Boxing by defeating 2016 Olympic Gold medalist! What a proud, proud moment this is for us".
