Sunita Lakra, who is leading the Indian team in the Asian Women's Champions Trophy, says she will get an opportunity to test herself during the Asian Games. This is to be noted that after giving the rest to the regular captain Rani, the team's command has been handed over to Sunita.

Worth mentioning here is that the Asian Women's Champions Trophy will begin in Doongi town of South Korea from May 13. Apart from India, hosts South Korea, Japan, China and Malaysia will also participate in the tournament. Regarding this, the replacement captain's defender Sunita Lakra, before the team's departure last night, said that the team was expecting a medal in the Commonwealth Games, but we played well against Australia and England. In the Asian Champions Trophy, we will get a chance to test ourselves before the Asian Games in Jakarta.

According to the sources, India will launch its campaign against Japan in this competition. India won the title of Asian Champions Trophy for the first time by defeating China 2-1 in the final in 2016. On the absence of experienced captain Rani, frontline player Poonam Rani and defender Sushila Chanu from the Indian team, Sunita Lakra said that their loss would be missed, but this has not weakened the aim of defending the title of the team. The team has made good preparation in Sai Bangalore in the last three weeks.
