Five days since the commencement of Asian Games 2018 and India manages to bag 11 bronze, 4 silver and 4 gold medals. Here’s a glimpse into the gold medalists’ journey in the game so far.

Day 6 started with a bang as India grabs a historic gold in Men's Quadruple Sculls event. The team included rowers Sawarn Singh, Dattu Bhokanal, Om Prakash and Sukhmeet Singh.

In Tennis Men’s Doubles Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan won a gold medal after defeating Kazakhstan pair in the finals 6-3 6-4.

Before Day 4 came to a close, Shooter Rahi Sarnobat won the gold medal in the 25m pistol competition on Wednesday with a Games record score of 34 in the finals. Rahi scored 34 points which tied with Thailand’s Naphaswan Yangpaiboon so she had to compete in two rounds of shoot-offs before she ultimately emerged as the winner.

On Day 3, 16-year-old Indian shooter Saurabh Chaudhary bagged a gold in the 10m Air Pistol event. The teenage shooter, qualified for the final ahead of four-time Olympic gold medallist Jin Jong-oh.

On Day 2, Vinesh Phogat created history by becoming the first Indian woman wrestler to win an Asian Games gold by defeating Japan’s Yuki Irie by a margin of 6-2 in the 50 kg freestyle.

On Day 1, Bajrang Punia bagged the gold in the 65kg category. The 24-year-old wrestler won against Uzbekistan's Sirojiddin (13-3), Tajikistan's Fayziev Abdulqosim (12-2) and Mongolia's N Batmagnai Batchuluu (10-0) to reach for the finals where he fought Daichi Takatani (11-8) to grab the gold.

India now has five gold medals at Asiad 2018 raising our rank in medals tally up to ninth.
