Guwahati: A case has been reported of a leopard killing a 6-year-old child in Guwahati, Assam. The incident has come to light from Maligaon area under Guwahati, where the leopard suddenly attacked the child. The leopard attacked the child when he was playing outside the house with his friends.
According to media reports, the leopard attacked the minor boy on Friday afternoon. As soon as the leopard attacked the boy, the locals sounded the alarm and tried to drive him away, but failed. Later the leopard was caught by the forest department and taken to the forest. After the leopard fled, locals and family members took the child in critical condition to a nearby private hospital. However, the child died during treatment.
In many districts of Assam, floods have caused havoc these days. Water has also been filled in the forest areas, due to which the wild animals have also come to the residential areas and they are making people their prey. The 6-year-old child has also become a victim of leopard.
