Guwahati: Elections are going on in the country right now, the parties are continuing to campaign for the Assam assembly elections. On this, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reached the famous Kamakhya temple in Guwahati on Wednesday and worshiped there. Due to this, he said that his party always fulfills its promises and the Congress has a history of fulfilling promises after winning assembly elections in the states. He also attacked the BJP a lot.

Rahul Gandhi said that his party is not like BJP, Congress keeps the promises made to the people in the elections. He said, Congress has promised five guarantees. These include not setting the disputed Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Assam, providing employment to five lakh persons, providing 200 units of electricity free of cost to all households every month, giving monthly assistance of Rs 2,000 to every housewife as well as tea. Including raising the minimum daily wage of plantation workers from Rs 193 to Rs 365.

The Congress leader said that his party in Punjab, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka had promised to waive the debt of the donors and fulfilled it after coming to power. Referring to one of the five promises, he said, "In Assam, we have promised to raise the wages of tea plantation workers to Rs. 365. Rahul Gandhi worshiped at Shaktipeeth on Nilanchal hill before conducting election rallies in Chhaygaon and Barkhetri. Elections in these places will be held on April 6 in the last phase. Rahul Gandhi could not hold rallies in Silchar, Haflong, and Bokajan on Tuesday due to heavy rains and inclement weather.
