The Hojai Police confiscated a large consignment of Ya Ba pills worth Rs 1 crore from a bus in Doboka. According to police sources, the police received information about two people arriving in a bus from Imphal, and a "naka checking" was set up in the Akakhiganga area as a result.

During the check, the police intercepted a bus, and according to the information provided, two people were caught in the bus with 2.5 kg of Ya Ba pills. The pills were hidden in 100 packets, each containing 200 tablets, according to the police, and the worldwide worth of the tablets is estimated to be over 1 crore.

The two people were detained on the spot after a preliminary inquiry. Mayanglambam Jiban Meetei of Imphal and Alim Uddin of Thoubal were identified as the suspects. The pills were kept hidden inside the self-stitched pockets of the above-mentioned persons' clothing. The bus has also been confiscated by the police for further investigation.
