'Will give life, but won't give inch of land' says Minister Ashok Singhal on Assam-Mizoram border dispute

Guwahati: The ongoing border dispute between Assam and Mizoram is not completely over yet. Assam government minister Ashok Singhal on Monday made a big statement on the issue. He has said that he will not give an inch of his land, he will die, but he will not give up the land. Tell us that Ashok Singhal is the Guardian Minister of the Cachar area, who is from Mizoram and where there is a whole controversy.

Assam Cabinet Minister Singhal said Mizoram has to admit that it was he who fired the bullet and that our policemen had lost their lives. Singhal questioned whether the administration was going on without the CM's knowledge, whether Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma was booked FIR without the CM's knowledge. Attacking the Mizoram government, Minister Ashok Singhal said that first of all, the Mizoram government has to accept the reality and that is that they fired files with light machine guns at unarmed policemen in which six policemen were killed and our SP was seriously injured.

Ashok Singhal further said that he should investigate the matter and Mizoram should take legal action against its SP and take steps to restore confidence. Singhal questioned whether the CM there fired, FIR was not aware. After all, who is running the state? Assam Cabinet Minister Ashok Singhal said such statements on blockages will reduce his credibility and create public anger. There will be an atmosphere of distrust among the people of Assam and Mizoram, which is not good for both states.
