Guwahati: CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has now intensified its war against corona after taking over the new government's running in Assam. CM Sarma on Tuesday said that the situation in Assam is getting worse due to covid, in which case medical infrastructure needs to be strengthened. For this, Himanta Biswa Sarma has now sought help from the common people.

Through his social media platform, Himanta Biswa Sarma has appealed to the people to provide assistance to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund or Assam Arogya Account to work in the fight against corona. CM Sarma said that the epidemic has posed a big challenge to Assam and we have to take stringent steps to save humanity. Our government is constantly engaged in strengthening medical infrastructure, increasing the number of beds, coweed care centres ICU.

CM Sarma has said that what you will help with relief funds will be used in the war against corona. The list of all donors will be made public, help will get income tax concession. In the last term of the BJP government, Himanta Biswa Sarma, when he was the Health Minister, made a similar appeal to the people. In September last year, the state government reported that more than 50,000 people had helped the Assam Arogya Nidhi account, with the help of which a total of Rs 116 crore was collected.
