CM Sarma says growing population is the main cause of poverty, adopt family planning policy

Guwahati: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday urged the minority community to adopt a "proper family planning policy" for population control to reduce poverty. Speaking on the occasion of the completion of 30 days of his government, CM Sarma said that all parties should come forward and support the government to help reduce poverty in the community.  The root cause of poverty is uncontrolled growth in population.
