CM Hemant Biswa Sharma tweeted that these holidays are being given to spending time with parents or in-laws. CM Hemant tweeted, 'There are special holidays on January 6 and 7. On this day, all government employees in Assam spend quality time with their parents or in-laws.' According to reports, all employees from top civil services officers to fourth grade will be able to take advantage of this. But this holiday will not apply to those whose parents or in-laws have left the world. This means that these holidays will not be engaged in any other work.
The Assam government had decided in November last year that the state government would give two days special leave to its employees in which they would be able to spend time with their families. The decision has now been implemented in the first month of the new year. Employees have extremely high January 6 and 7 holidays. Because the second on 8th is Saturday and on 9th is Sunday. In such a situation, this four-day holiday can be celebrated with family members.
