Guwahati: Coronavirus infection has increased very fast in Assam. In the last 24 hours, 156 new patients have been confirmed. This is the record of so many new cases coming up in the state in a day. Now the total number of patients has been 548. Out of 156 new cases, 59 are from Golaghat district and 21 from Karimganj.
17 in Lakhimpur, 9 in Barpeta, 8 in Guwahati Quarantine Center, 7 in Kamrup (Metro) district, 6 in Kokrajhar, 5 in Sivasagar district, 4-4 in Hailakandi-Dhemaji, 3 in South Salmara, Tinsukai-Nalbari. 2-2 and one new case has been registered in Jorhat-Nagaon-Morigaon-Goalpara district. Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma has told that 9 infected cases have been confirmed in Barpeta. Before sending all these people to the Quarantine Center, a corona investigation was done. At present, there are 548 corona patients in the state. Earlier on May 23, 87 new cases were reported in Assam.
In Assam, 297 new cases have been confirmed within the last four days. That is, more than half of new cases have come up in four days. Suddenly, with the increased graph of Corona, people are in panic, then the concern of the Assam government has increased. Now, efforts are being made to speed up the pace of corona test in the state.
